PBH 6R80 High Strength Intermediate Shaft
The intermediate shaft does not come into play until 4th gear in the 6r80. The stock units have some inherent weaknesses due to the way they are manufactured. They can handle stock power and torque but fail when we are talking 600+rwhp production. Since the load is pretty high in 4th gear you can see why it fails when we pour more power into the mix.Â
The upgraded shaft from PBH is made of 300M Steel to take the abuse. The shaft is a direct replacement to stock units and requires no machining.
